1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Forgelio Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales ("Forgelio", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Forgelio platform, website, or any associated services (collectively, the "Services"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
If you are using the Services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
2. About the services
Forgelio provides a career intelligence platform designed for business analysts, product managers, delivery managers, and related tech-adjacent professionals. The Services include, but are not limited to:
- AI-powered career risk assessments and exposure scoring
- Role-specific career roadmaps and skill gap analysis
- Professional templates and frameworks
- Progress tracking and personalised action plans
- Educational content, e-books, and learning paths via Forgelio University
- Community features and peer benchmarking tools
The Services are currently in development and early access phases. Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time. We will communicate material changes to users with active paid subscriptions where reasonably practicable.
3. User accounts
Some features of the Services require you to create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Keep your account credentials confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or engage in activity we determine, in our reasonable judgement, to be harmful to the platform or other users.
Certain features, including the AI Risk Score, may be accessed without creating an account. Your use of those features is still governed by these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Services in any way that violates applicable UK or international laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services, servers, or databases
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any part of the Services
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform without our express written consent
- Upload or transmit any viruses, malware, or other malicious code
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Use the Services to send unsolicited commercial communications
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including removing content, suspending accounts, or reporting matters to relevant authorities.
5. Intellectual property
All content, features, functionality, design, software, trademarks, and other intellectual property on the Forgelio platform are owned by Forgelio Ltd or its licensors and are protected by UK and international intellectual property laws.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial career development purposes. This licence does not permit you to:
- Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display our content without authorisation
- Create derivative works based on our content
- Use our brand assets, logos, or trademarks without prior written permission
- Sublicence or transfer your rights under this licence to any third party
Any content you submit to the platform (for example, career information entered for assessment purposes) remains yours. By submitting content, you grant us a licence to process and use it solely for the purpose of providing the Services to you.
6. AI-generated content
The Services use artificial intelligence to generate personalised assessments, risk scores, roadmaps, and other outputs. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated outputs are informational only and do not constitute professional career, legal, financial, or employment advice
- AI outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for career decisions
- The AI Risk Score is an analytical tool designed to inform, not determine, career choices
- We are not liable for any decisions you make based on AI-generated content from our platform
We continually improve our models and methodologies. Scores and assessments may change over time as our systems are updated.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Forgelio offers both free and paid subscription tiers. For paid subscriptions:
- Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, as selected at the point of purchase
- All prices are displayed inclusive of VAT where applicable
- Payment is processed by Stripe, our third-party payment provider, in accordance with their terms of service
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase, unless you have already made use of the paid Services during that period. If you begin using paid features within the 14-day withdrawal period, you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal may no longer apply.
We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase affecting your current subscription before it takes effect.
8. Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- Any results obtained from using the Services will be accurate or reliable
- The quality of any information obtained through the Services will meet your expectations
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable UK law, Forgelio Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Services
- Any conduct or content of any third party on or accessed through the Services
- Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
- Career or employment decisions made in reliance on content from the Services
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under UK law.
Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the greater of the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or £100.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time and close your account from your account settings. Upon closure, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, with or without notice, if we believe you have breached these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Services is no longer commercially viable. Where we terminate your access without cause, we will refund any unused prepaid subscription fees on a pro-rata basis.
Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall do so, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your local jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or business practices. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or through an in-platform notification, with reasonable advance notice before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should stop using the Services before the changes come into force.
